Job Summary/ Key Responsibilities:

 JOB SUMMARY

Assists customers with matters related to inland transportation of their cargo, by rail and / or truck.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Monitors information using MSC proprietary IT systems, MSExcel and Power BI.
  • Liaises with intermodal customers, US customs and various MSC departments globally as needed.
  • Communicates quickly and effectively with respective vendors.
  • Analyzes data and considers performance modifications and implements strategies to support process efficiencies. 
  • Provides timely and accurate responses to all inquiries regarding transportation statues and updates.
  • Observes corporate guidelines when addressing vendor and customer inquiries regarding shipments.
  • Escalates unique or complex issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution when necessary.
  • Anticipates potential problems before they arise as well as having problem solving skills to solve any unforeseen issues.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
