Job Summary:
The Sales Executive will play a vital role in Cornerstone's intermodal division, offering an ideal opportunity for candidates with previous intermodal sales experience, particularly in 53' and 40'domestic intermodal knowledge. Port Drayage brokerage sales experience is highly desired but not mandatory. This position encompasses a blend of Inside/Outside Sales (20/80), and the ideal candidate will possess 3 or more years of sales experience in 3PL or asset-based intermodal services provider, demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with logistics challenges in diverse markets and the ability to tailor sales approaches accordingly are essential. An entrepreneurial mindset and the flexibility to excel outside the traditional office structure are crucial. Extensive travel may be required. Proficiency in CRM, preferably with Salesforce, is expected, showcasing expertise in configuring CRM systems to enhance customer relationship management processes and drive user adoption. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop account relationships with contacts at multiple levels within customer organization via calling and face-to-face visits.
- Identify opportunities to further penetrate accounts by selling a large service portfolio.
- Design solutions and help customers solve their supply challenges through face-to-face interaction with accounts.
- Present pricing options and receive support from the leadership team.
- Identify issues, seek input from others to determine best course of action and implement solutions.
- Identify and sell both transactional and contractual pricing models.
- Work regularly with pricing and operations departments.
- Manage customer expectations through the creation and utilization of account metrics.
- Promote and display Cornerstone’s Core Values.
- Regular and reliable attendance expected.
- Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Minimum Knowledge, Abilities and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics or related field experience preferred
- 3+ years of Intermodal sales experience, or working for a 3PL or asset-based intermodal services provider
- Possess an entrepreneurial attitude, competitive spirit, and leadership qualities
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Possess a strong sense of urgency and time management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
